OUS South Australia Trip '08

For the last six years, our school has always taken the safe (the "Japanese") route and hired an official travel agent to take our 3rd grade students (9th grade equivalent) on their big annual trip to Australia.

This year, they decided to send me and my haphazard planning and lax optimism in lieu of a pricier but far more experienced guide, much to the chagrin of the homeroom teachers.

But we went, the kids had a blast, and all 30 of us came back. Passports in hand, on the same plane, and in one piece.

Even the most beleaguered tour guides would probably call that a wild success.

Guess that makes me one for one.
