"working on my faults and cracks..."

kouji tyuu

While I'm still playing with some of the particulars, it would seem that the Disappointed Idealist has returned from a brief sabbatical; during which it was undressed, then redressed, then undressed again, doused in takoyaki sauce, feathered, and showered, before finally being covered with a shiny coat of paint.

* With much difficulty, I've expanded the "About Me" section, and added a little bit of personal context for the curious reader. However, understand that there's a clear difference between sharing my experience, as I often do in regular posts, and simply talking about myself--which, in my case, the biggest such difference would be how profoundly I suck at the latter. You have been warned.

* A convenient search function has also been added in the event that you need to dredge up some past tense posthaste, but aren't sure where to start.

* I've also added a Twitter feed, because I'm narcissistic enough to believe that you need to be in on every minute and trivial detail about my life. It's a stupid addition, and I'm already ashamed of it, but I seem to get a lot of people asking what I do all day, or what I do for fun when I'm not at work. I highly doubt adding Twitter will alleviate this need--in fact, I only expect it to compound the confusion. Still, it's worth a shot. Silly bullshit not worth a mention in a blog post becomes silly bullshit worthy of attention via Twitter? Poor guy--sounds like sloppy seconds to me, and for this, I profusely apologize.

Since I can't promise you a better reading experience while you're here, hopefully I can settle for just making it less crappy.

As always, even if you're just lurking, thanks for stopping by.

What was so happy and joyful about the old layout?

A) I'm trying to be ironic, because of where you live.

B) The new layout is just less happy and joyful.

:P
