Cycling, just like any other wheeled pastime, is really just another glorified means of rolling around. There is no greater cause for which to strive, no lives to save, only rolling. It was just past seven in the morning. Thanks to an earthquake mangling a section of the highway somewhere near Shizuoka, the bus arrived late. I was somewhat rudely awoken by the driver apologizing for the previous night's act of God.

Highlight of the video though is around the 0:46 mark, finding Yuji in rare form as he ends a nice little no-handed wheelie by pitching his brand new Volume into a brick tree planter. His later appointment with the pavement at 2:20 is equally spectacular.

Yuta built my first wheelset, and later helped me install my 144bcd cranks and bottom bracket. Takuya the Slinger of Yakitori was always good for a hearty 'kampai' and laugh or two. Definitely wish I'd had more time to put together something a bit more robust for the Soft Cream shop crew, but this will have to do. For now, at least.
